Gold production in Kazakhstan in January-May this year amounted to 3.628 tonnes of refined gold down 3.4% year-on-year, a source in the State Statistics Agency told Interfax.

Production of refined silver also fell – 0.6% year-on-year to 330,285 tonnes. Production of unrefined zinc amounted to 155,647 tonnes (up 3.5%), unrefined lead – 51,47 tonnes (down 16,1%), and refined copper in bars – 164,231 tonnes (down 6.2%).
