CRYSTALLEX, a Canadian mining company, has appointed BNP Paribas, a French financial institution, to advise on the project financing of the miner's Las Cristinas gold mine in southern Venezuela. Deustche Bank had been advising Crystallex on the project, but the mining company switched to BNP Paribas to continue working with the same management team, which quit Deutsche to work for Paribas.
